figarosmokey: this morning i couldn't sleep at about 4:30 so i went into ellen's bed so i wouldn't wake up dad

figarosmokey: when i laid down i heard the front door open and close

figarosmokey: i was scared to go check so i convinced myself that what i heard was just the paper being delivered

i think i will like all of my classes this semester. my professors are all hilarious. here is an excerpt from my social problems syllabus: "No food or drink will be in active use during class. It's hard enough for me to concentrate on what I'm doing without wondering about the flavor of your Tootsie-Roll-Pop. No steak sandwiches or Frosted Flakes either." Here's another one from the same syllabus: "Cell phones going off in class will result in the immediate expulsion of the offending studnet from Social Problems, from the campus, and from the universe--and you will never gete into heaven. (the preceding sentence is completely and totally false, but at least it's grammatically correct.) P.S. I just got a cell phone myself last summer. This January it went off in class." And the final sentence of the syllabus: "And if you haven't read this syllabus yet, read it now." Those are all from the professor wearing the Tom Bracken sweater. Might be my favorite class this semester.

Friday we are going to the campus movie which is......the departed. or as someone at dinner misheard: "de party"

emily and i brought angie and sarah home to see the ohs musical. it was grease. the kid who was supposed to play danny was sick, so joe odle, who already had 2 parts in the play, also had to play danny. a great job he did. it was fun to see those younger kids. i miss how popular i am in onamia. ha. but true it is.

i got my itinerary for thailand!!! excited i am. we are gonna be spending 3 days in a village in the mountains. we'll be staying with families who speak no english. interesting it will be.

beth: sorry, but i forgot to take one of mom's shirts. i could do it over thanksgiving, or i could just ask her. is she not supposed to know what its for? cause i could pretend that i'm doing something for a class where i have to compare how fat i am with how fat my mom is. she'd totally buy it. also, what would you like for your birthday? and here is that picture where i think emily looks like you. just glance at it. if you stare too long, her ugliness comes through.

i got my hair cut yesterday. she cut too much off i think. but it is much healthier now. the girl who cut my hair talked about csi. the. entire. time. she was explaining to me why csi miami and csi ny are better than the original because they still use new ideas. i have only seen episodes of the orignal, but i think the only thing that the csi shows are is gross. really gross.

it is snowing outside.

i was on hold with dell last night for 20 minutes and then finally talked to a guy from india who couldn't understand a thing i said and asked a lot of pointless questions.
